The Regular Board meetings of the Horton Public Library are normally the 3rd Wednesday of each month @ 5:15pm. These meetings are held at the Library unless posted otherwise. Any changes to date/time or special meeting announcements will be posted. Job Title: Library Assistant

Salary Range: $7.75 – $8.50 per hour

Seeking motivated, professional & enthusiastic individual to fill part-time ( approx. 9-15 hrs per week) Library Assistant position.
Duties & Qualifications: Computer & Office equipment knowledge. Circulation, cataloging, programs, filing/shelving, administrative duties, running a register, accurate documentation, ability to follow instructions, learn & develop skills in library operations.
We are seeking someone with excellent interpersonal, organizational & planning skills.
The position is for flexible hours at this time but eventually should be for the one or more shifts of 1pm-4pm, or Mon-Fri 4pm-7pm, or Sat 10am-2pm. It will require additional hours for training & programming that are not scheduled. Must be available for evening & weekend commitments to the Library. Pay is hourly at an approximate starting range of $7.75 to $8.50 based on qualifications.
